According to the Southeast Anatolian Exporters Association, a total of $147 million in animal products, $55.730 million in seeds, vegetation and pulses, $2.206 million in dried fruits and $54.692 in textiles between the January-October 2000 time frame were exported to countries in the Middle East.
Iraq leads the list of countries that receive the highest level of Turkeys exports in the Middle East, with Syria and Saudi Arabia following.
Synthetic and cotton thread, plastic bags, sunflower seed and olive oil, chick peas, red lentil, dried apricots, vanilla cookies, cakes, chocolate, candy, sugar and synthetic textiles representing the highest demand in the Middle East.
